Depending on who you know, you can have access to some pretty special things. And you know how we are, always looking for the discount, the hook-up, and the freebie. You know what I mean? (preach about knowing people in places and getting blessed because its about who you know)
That works in the natural so it also should work in the spirit.

If you know Jesus, you know God (v.7-10)

The relationship of the Godhead is a mystery. How on God exists as Father, Son, and Spirit does not something we can comprehend anymore than we can comprehend the existence of God in the first place. But, we can apprehend it in that we can believe it as God has given us sufficient revelation to get it. The Father and the Son are one in mission, mind, but also of essence. The see Jesus is to see God, to know Jesus is to know God. And to know God is to know Jesus. Jesus said, “the Father and I are one”. This is a direct echo of the revelation he just gave them concerning Himself being the only way to the Father.
Philip, this time, asked a question that at its core is the what we all want God to do for us. Show yourself. If, you are real, Let us see. That’s why he says “and it is enough for us” meaning, if we can just lay our eyes on the Father that is all we need to keep moving forward.
Jesus’ response is you’ve already seen Him.
He speaks God’s Words
He does God’s Works

If you know Jesus, you will do greater works (v. 11-14)

He’s with the Father
He will Glorify the Father in Him

If you know Jesus, you will Love Him (v.15)

There is an affinity to honor and be faithful to things that we love. We aren’t obedient to Jesus and honoring of his Lordship over our lives because we are afraid of God. We should honor and keep his commandments be cause we love him and he has been good to us.
